Remember that our cars differ from the 2008-2009 smarts in that ours
were purchased in Europe, shipped to the U.S., then converted to
meet U.S. safety and emissions standards. These are the Original
European smart fortwos with the turbo-charged Mercedes engine and
are a full 7" shorter. These rare 1,026 cars are
higher priced than smartUSA's.
Base
pricing for our Smart fortwo Passion Coupe starts at $25,900 without
warranty and $26,900 with
5-year/50,000-mile warranty. The cabrio
model starts at $30,900 with the warranty. Detailed pricing, features and extras are shown below.
California buyers only, please note: The Mercedes-engine
smart cars are only eligible for titling in California under the
following two conditions:
1. The car must be at least two model years old and
2. They must go through a special emissions test.
This is required to meet California's state emissions regulations,
which exceed Federal standards. The cost is $1,250.

Hard copy of Owner's Manual in English. All cars furnished
with CD version in English, but Owner's Manual is sometimes in
German. We provide a hardcopy in English for your car.
Copy of "Smart Thinking," the hardcover book that provides
the definitive history of the Smart Car since its very beginning in
Europe.
Smart Repair Manual CD. Though not all inclusive, it is
extremely helpful for owners and their mechanics in working on their
Smart Car and also troubleshooting problems.
A Pair of 3" Official Copper
Medallions for Mounting on Car or
Display. These 80% Copper Alloy Medallions, finished in silver
overlay, provide both a brief History of the Smart Car as well as
the Specifications of the Smart Car. Upon each medallion will appear
your custom engraved VIN #, the Model Year, and the Release Number
in this country. Medallions have raised letters and a filled
background of Black Cloisonné Jeweler Enamel.
Ultraseal Flat Preventative in all
tires of your Smart Car
(unless customer waives this benefit). Smart Cars do NOT have spare
tires. The reason is that the tires on the
rear are wider tires than
those on the
front, for better handling. As a result, there is some
vulnerability to the driver. We try to remove that worry. Though all
smart cars carry a sealant to use in case of slow leaks, it doesn't
prevent problems. Ultraseal is the top tested brand of all 74 tire
sealant products on the market.
 It is the official product for the
US Postal Service. A stronger version is even used in Military Humvees and can seal both sides of a tire hit by a bullet. We will
pre-install Ultraseal in your tires or, if you wish, send a kit to
you for installation by a qualified tire shop. We can think of no
better "extra" to provide you with peace of mind.
Tire Inventory. Though Ultraseal should take care of most
problems, we do something else for our customers. Because the Smart
Car is the only car in this country that uses their size of tires,
they are not always quick to find.
We stock tires for our customers
so that we can sell them to you and provide them quickly if there
ever is a need.
